British TV play set in Australia directed by Royston Morley. Written by Charlies Oliver and Maurice Travers. No idea if they were Australian, but Morley lived in Australia for several years.
Premise
A couple driving out from Adelaide, Peter and Valerie, to inspect an inherited property face a hostile reception from the former Austrian émigrés in a remote outback settlement.
The house is on the remote settlement of Willaburra and his arrival there has a curious and mysterious effect on the residents, immigrants from Austria who went there before the second world war as winegrowers. In the eyes of some of them, as they look at Peter, there is a shock of recognition, although he has never, to his knowledge, set foot in Willaburra before.
Valerie discovers a photo of Peter on a tombstone.
