Reception
The Canberra Times said "The Sydney writer Noel Robinson, who perpetrated Split Level last week, obviously didn’t learn a thing from Frederick Lonsdale, whose On Approval she successfully adapted for ABC Melbourne television (ABC-3, Wednesday). This play looked in the beginning like a terribly slight, and rather amusing comedy of manners. Instead, it got better and better, even funnier, and more outrageous."
